In 2021-22, we were funded by the Nuffield Foundation to develop the ONE programme and deliver it in 15 settings in the Oxford area. 

Results from this trial suggest that:

• Children who were at settings that received the programme made more progress in numeracy skills and some executive function skills than other children.

• Progress was larger for economically disadvantaged children.

• Practitioners found that the activities worked well for the children.

• Most practitioners enjoyed the training; and they were able to deliver the expected number of activities each week.
